Here is a deeper understanding towards the Chinese cubes based on its types.

Chinese DIYs

Type A: GuoJia
Type A-II:GuoJia 2
Type A-III: GuoJia QuanFengBi
Type B: Guo Yi (brand: ShengEn)
Type C: GuoBing (rubik DIY replica)
Type D: GuoYou (brand: YongJun)
Type E: DianSheng (brand: DianSheng)
Type F: GuoYi BanFengBi (brand: ShengEn)

Terms:

Guo: Country
Jia, Yi, Bing: A, B, C
You: Good
QuanFengBi: fully shut/closed
BanFengBi: partially shut/closed

Type A: the most common cubes in china, excellent quality, loose and smooth but heavier than other type of cubes, cuts corner better and quieter in terms of noise compared to type D. Type B: poor quality, unsuitable for speedcubing, mostly are silver and golden color.

Type C is a replica of rubik’s DIY in terms of design, better than B and tightly installed. A little spray of silicone would turn it into a godly cube

Recommendation:

Type A, D, & E for real cubing, C & B for experiments

By the way... denger2 erik akkersdijk punya satu cube sakti. Hybrid dan edgenya terbuat dari type B. Dan yang lebih mengherankan, nggak sedikit diantara para sub 15 di eropa yang mempertahankan rubiks original sebagai bentuk apresiasi mereka terhadap Prof. Erno Rubik.

Konon Rama Temmink pun tidak diizinkan menggunakan non Rubik's brand untuk 3x3...

non Rubik's brand boleh dipakai, karena tidak ada restriksi untuk merk cube, selama cube tersebut masih dalam koridor WCA regulation. Bisa didiskusikan di thread tentang WCA regulation bro
